Can anyone tell me (in simple terms) what the HTML thing is on profiles please?

HTML is the programing language used to make web pages. There is no limit to the elements you can add to your profile if you know HTML.

It isn't hard at all. Get a photobucket account, post the graphics you want there, Click on the line marked 'HTML Tag', and it will copy it to your clipboard.

Go to your profile amd click on the 'Profile HTML' link, and you get blank boxes. Right click in the first box, (that will be your 'First HTML code'), and paste.

It will look something like this:

<a href="" target="_blank"><img src="" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a>

Go to the bottom of the page and click on 'save' (bottom left corner).

Then go back up and click on 'Build Profile'.

Left click on the 'First HTML' box, and drag it to where you want your graphic to go on your profile.

When it finishes loading, you can click on 'Preview Profile.

Or better yet, google "backgrounds, layouts" the kind of stuff you'd find on that "other space" you just click on a picture or whatever you like and it will give you the "html code", right click to copy, go to your page and right click to paste in the "html" spots
