Last Saturday my brother-in-law Rick threw a surprise birthday party for his wife Laura. He planned it out perfectly. Laura was at work and not expected home until a bit after 6:00 PM. Laura works for a real estarte company and she was going to be out walking properties with clients all day. And it was a hot day last Saturday.
All the guests arrived early and parked their cars down the street in a church parking lot. Rick had told Laura that he was going to take their kids out to an early movie so he wouldn't be home when she got in. He in fact dropped them off at their individual friends' houses for sleepovers. The situation was all set for 26 of her family and friends to surprise Laura when she got home.
At 6:12 we heard the electric garage door opener start up. A minute later a car door slammed followed by the sound of the garage door closing and then the door into the mud room open. There was a long spell of silence as we waited for the door between the mud room and the kitchen to open. All of us were looking at each other waiting what seemed an eternity for the door to open. We could hear Laura in the mud room doing something. Themn we heard the clothes washer come on. OK, there was a pile of laundry in the mud room and she threw some into the washer. A second later the door opened and Laura came into the kitchen. She took the two steps to the entrance to the family room, where we were all waiting and ....
SURPRISE!!!!!! which quickly went to silence!!!!
There was Laura standing stark ass naked in the opening between the kitchen and family room. She stood there a full 5 seconds before she realized what was going on and made any attempt to cover herself. We all let out whoops and yell, even the women (we had already started drinking). Laura let out a Holy Shit and ran out of the kitchen and disapeared up the stairs to her bedroom.
When she came down a few minutes later , fully dressed, she explained that she was so sweaty from being out in the heat all day and as Rick's car wasn't there, and neither were the kids, she stripped down in the mud room and threw her clothes into the washer.
She made us all delete any pictures we took, and there were quite a lot. No momentos for any of us except for what we saw.

I know it was just TV but, the old series L.A. Law did a skit of a woman getting her boyfriend to take her home on his birthday. He had bragged no one had ever been able to throw him a surprise party cause he had always figured it out.
She stops him in her living room and tells him to undress and wait a until she calls and then come into the bedroom and turn on the light. He does this and goes into the bedroom at full mast and turns on the light to find his whole office waiting for him. Boston High did it with a teacher surprising her boyfriend wearing only a shirt, open. Walks into his office at night to find a surprise party for her. |
