cam works on #text blocked# or skype but not here.
Hi Cindy the bear. My webcam works fine in other apps, but here i get a still image and others get nothing. i have reinstalled drivers and rebooted, then manually installed camfrog. any other ideas? thanks jimmy |

Cindy I have tried all the things you have suggested to get my web cam to work in the chat rooms, but still have not had any success. I am able to use it without problems with other applications. I miss the use of the chat room and wish I could get some added info to get back on line in this venue. Any more suggestions or do I have to just walk away from WW?

There is an Add on Application which sits above your local Cam Software and broadcasts to the WW rooms, called Manycams, a search in your favorite search engine will find it, I've had alot of sucess with chatters using this application getting the cam's working.
Just remember to select the correct source before entering the Chat rooms, in this case it should be Manycams and not your normal cam. |

If you tried all the suggested fixes and still have problems, submit a support ticket to WW via the tab below. Remember that they will answer via regular email, so keep an eye on your junk mail folder because some email handlers see it as spam.

Cindy, thanks for the link. I had tried all the things you had listed in the other thread, but I still couldn't get past the computer security. I kept getting a "malicious threat" warning. I did the download above and everything seems to be working fine. Now I just need to renew my membership.

 was checking here because camfrog won't install. read thru, tried the manual install...tried to go to chat but got that 'wants to add activex ' blahblahblah...so said install and this is the error message i got: An error occurred while copying file [1]cfweb_activex.camfrogweb.com-advancedd-2.0.2.20_ Cannot copy file to destination directory This is my son's laptop, and 1st time I'm using it. Vista Business with IE 8. Did the manual install but saw no notice that it actually loaded. Pasted the addy in an IE address windowand hit refresh, saw a loading green bar at bottom, but didn't get any indication whether or not it 'executed'. Also added WW as trusted site as per other post. So being the dense cloud of confusion that I am, thought I'd ask before I blow the laptop up. Can someone get back to me? I have NOT been to CHAT in almost 2 weeks, and heaven knows I'm jonesin' fer a nekkid fix lol HELLLPPP!!!!   |
